Fully functioning optical transceivers were completed and shipped to Thales Alenia Space for testing.
This was our deliverable for the Siphodias project which is due to finish soon and an important milestone, as this is the first time we’ve manufactured optical transceivers, so to have them completely working was an achievement.
Test results from TAS show the transceivers operate well at 24 Gb/s and meet the power consumption target. These parameters are two of the most important performance characteristics for intra-satellite communication optical transceivers, and the performance we’ve achieved is close to the best available in the market.
