In recent months we have achieved a lot together: with project NOVA we have shone a light into all corners of the Group and the structures which have evolved over many decades. With the support of specialists and managers we realigned our organizational structures in line with the upcoming major transformations – with a clear focus on the requirements of our customers, technologies and people. Even though a few changes to the organisational structure are still pending, we have already successfully completed the majority of the transformation and have been able to translate this into accelerated growth: Our forward-looking organizational realignment is unique in the industry benefits our customers worldwide and has resulted in ahead-of-plan business development in some areas.
In the current 2024 financial year, we have been breathing life into the new structure. Since January, the Group has been operating in the six reorganized Business Units Mobility, Industry, Energy & Resources, Certification, Digital & Semiconductor and People & Empowerment as well as the two Group Divisions International and Administration. Strategies, processes and organizational forms were successively aligned with the new structure. We would like to express our sincere thanks for your active support, which you have often provided on top of your day-to-day tasks. Our thanks also go to the members of the various committees involved, especially the works councils.
A lot is happening in our six business units and the group divisions:
In BU Certification, the IT certification work area has been successfully transferred from TÜVIT to TÜV NORD CERT and has been fully integrated there. The teams are already cooperating to put together attractive certification packages for their customers.
The BU People & Empowerment is developing offers for immersive learning with virtual/augmented reality in all its business fields and is finalizing its internationalization concept.
Protecting satellite communication from hackers together: This is just one example of the new services that the BU Digital & Semiconductor is now developing as a result of the synergies gained.
DMT and TÜV NORD EnSys are now working even more closely together in the BU Energy & Resources, as for example in the assessment of wind turbine or the conversion and development of a sustainable energy infrastructure for Germany.
Testing is the name of BU Industry's new business field, in which laboratories and testing facilities around the world are now moving closer together and pooling and sharing their resources and customer projects.
Whether at the IAA or at Innotrans, the BU Mobility is now presenting its portfolio for road and rail jointly with the newly integrated colleagues from Rail.
In its new role for international business, the Group Division International has gathered a great deal of information on the international markets in order to gain an even better understanding of the business opportunities for our foreign subsidiaries. Together with the BUs, coordinated growth strategies are developed for the international core regions.
With NOVA, we have created the organizational basis for the next stage of growth for the TÜV NORD GROUP, particularly for the international markets. We are building on this with our upcoming Group strategy HORIZON2030, which we will be presenting to you in the coming months.
