MTG-S1 will be launched on 1 July
ALTER TECHNOLOGY, as Coordinated Procurement Agency (CPPA), has played an essential role in the supply of electronic components for six models of the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) programme, including four imaging satellites (MTG-I) and two sounders (MTG-S).
Its responsibilities ranged from component engineering to laboratory testing, ensuring the reliability and endurance of the equipment against the extreme conditions of space throughout the duration of the mission.
In addition, we currently hold two active contracts linked to the programme: one for the monitoring of alerts and obsolescence, and the other for the long-term storage of critical components until the launch of the last satellite of the MTG series.
The launch is scheduled for 1 July 2025.
