UAS Drones Flight Tests
Since last May, activities have started at the Rozas Airborne Research Centre (CIAR), in Lugo, Spain.
As part of our commitment to the Civil UAVS Initiative project promoted by the Xunta de Galicia and with the collaboration of Telespazio, we seek to motivate the presence of UAS-drone manufacturers and operators in the region, offering our specialised services in testing and validation of unmanned aircraft systems.
Our activities at CIAR include mainly flight tests under Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 for Open Category (Classes C0, C1, C2, C3 and C4) and Specific (C5 and C6). Also, the execution of customised test plans adapted to the technical requirements of each client and, in addition, the calibration and validation of equipment and instrumentation.
These tests represent a significant step towards the safe and efficient integration of drones in European airspace, and consolidate Galicia as a benchmark for technological innovation in the sector, thus contributing to the development of advanced technologies and the creation of new opportunities.
Safety and innovation are fundamental pillars for ALTER. Therefore, through this initiative in Galicia, we reinforce our commitment to promote the importance of certification processes and conformity assessment of unmanned aircraft, ensuring compliance with the requirements established with the highest standards of quality and efficiency in different regions of Spain.
