Experimental Cubesat

ALTER TECHNOLOGY participates in a consortium for the design, development, construction and validation of a flight model of a pico-satellite.

Experiments on board will demostrate new technologies, fuel cell system, star tracker with MEMS (MicroElectroMecanical System) technology and secondary communications link. This way, the project faces some of the main challenges of current micro space vehicles: energy storage, navigation sensor cost, and communication link energy consumption.

The consortium is integrated by Abengoa Hidrógeno (leader), Alter Technology, Idener, Inabensa, Mesurex and Solar MEMS. This experimental development project is co-financed by CDTI and the European Regional Development Fund.
