PHASE 1 INSTALLATION OF NEW ISO 7 CLASS CLEANROOM
As part of Optocap Ltd strategy to become a European Centre of Excellence for Hi-Reliability Semiconductor assembly and packaging we have completed the Phase 1 installation and commissioning of our new ISO 7 Cleanroom. The new cleanroom was required to improve the environmental and cleanliness level to meet the exacting demands of end-users working in the Space and other Hi-Rel and Harsh Environment markets. The final stage (PHASE 2) will be complete and commission by end of Dec 2017. The total investment in the cleanroom will be on the order of €680K. A key driver for the completion of this new cleanroom area was to allow Optocap to perform the Flight Module assembly of the ON-SEMI HAS 3 Image Sensor device, which is scheduled for Q2 2018.
