ALTER is involved in the SiC substrate-based diodes business since last 2009. This technology can provide a particularly very wide range of temperature operation.
In fact, 2 space ESA missions which use ATN SiC Diodes technology are currently flying to their corresponding targets, which are:
- Bepi Colombo, launched in 2018, to Mercury.
- Solar Orbiter, launched in 2020, direct to the Sun.
ATN manage this kind of projects from the Technical Project Office, working in new functional performances for space missions.
