Personnel Changes
Due to continued growth and retirement of key staff there have a been a number of key Senior Management changes within Optocap.
Stephen Duffy has taken over the position of Optocap Ltd CEO. David King has the role of Sales and Marketing Director, taking over from Stephen Duffy. David Ruxton, the former CEO, has assumed the position of CFO and will stay in this position until end of Q1 2018. A new Financial Controller will start Jan 2018 to begin the transition of financial reporting responsibilities from David Ruxton.
At the end of 2017 Bill Ashby (CTO) will retire. The new technical team will be lead by Ian Oxtoby, who will take the position of Technical Operation Director, closely supported by Stephen Robertson will take the position of Engineering Manager. Bill Ashby was one of the first employees of Optocap Ltd in 2003 and was instrumental in setting the company up. Bill has over 40 years of semiconductor packaging experience and will be a big loss to the company but he has left a strong technical management team in his place. Bill's technical expertise, dedication and passion were vital in taking Optocap from a government owned organisation to now being part of the Alter Technology Group. Bill will continue to provide a level of consultancy support for Optocap for a period of time. We wish Bill every success in the future.
