Electronic Systems

When launching a product to market it is necessary to ensure that it meets all required national and international standards and will meet the customer’s expectations in terms of performance and reliability.

To ensure a successful outcome, the product needs to be fully defined from the beginning, in terms of the product technical specification performance requirement, to which it is ultimately designed and certified to meet and to be marked, whether it is CE or MIL marked.

TESTING ON ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS

EMC

These tests are pre-defined and are performed in order to verify that the electromagnetic disturbances produced by electrical and electronic apparatus do not affect the performance or correct operation of other equipment or telecommunication networks, and to check if they have an adequate level of immunity, to work properly.

Specifically, the equipment has to meet two directives: the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (89/336/CEE) and the Low Voltage (also named Safety) Directive (73/23/CEE).

We are accredited by the National Spanish Accreditation Body (ENAC) and approved to perform EMC tests according to EN ISO/IEC 17025

Safety

The purpose of these tests is to guarantee safe equipment, by analysing all risks and hazards that the equipment could cause to the operators and service personnel: electric shock and hazardous energy, ignition and fire spread, mechanical hazards, high temperature hazard and chemical and radiation hazards.

We are accredited by National Spanish Accreditation Body ENAC to perform safety tests according to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

Climatic Testing

The purpose of the climatic tests is to check the performance of the equipment under severe conditions like heat, dust, rain, solar radiation or vibration.

We are accredited by the National Spanish Accreditation Body (ENAC) to perform climatic tests according to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005

CE conformity management of complex systems and installations

The CE marking of complex systems presents particular difficulties that require a solid expertise to achieve the objective without jeopardizing the time to market and optimizing the cost of the solution. These complex systems are composed of several subsystems, result of the integration of products of different nature, type and origin, involving different directives.

By stating conformity of the product with the CE marking regulations, through the CE marking and the EC declaration of conformity, a manufacturer is declaring, on his sole responsibility, that the product complies with all of the European legal requirements and that he has carried out the conformity assessment procedure to verify the conformity of the product with all relevant essential requirements of the applicable directives.

We have the required skilled and experienced engineers to be able to manage the overall process:

  • coordination of the overall CE marking process,
  • design of the conformity approach,
  • identification of directives, essential requirements, conformity assessment procedures and harmonized standards,
  • development of specifications and evaluation of COTS,
  • provision of consultancy to developers,
  • performance of the conformity evaluation,
  • support in the preparation of the technical file and declaration of conformity.
