We are thrilled to announce that ALTER has officially signed a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA)! This partnership represents a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting ESA's vision of maintaining cutting-edge technologies accessible through long-term collaborations with European supply chains.
Key Objectives of the Partnership:
The rapidly evolving landscape of industrial technology, particularly in the semiconductor sector, has highlighted the critical importance of component selection and procurement for space projects. As we move forward, our collaboration with ESA will focus on the following objectives:
-
Expanding the Component Portfolio: We will work to enhance the European Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) component portfolio for space applications, ensuring the highest quality standards and traceability.
-
Bridging the Qualification Gap: While the current Qualified Parts List (QPL) and Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) cover a wide range of technologies, they do not encompass all families and functionalities required for comprehensive space equipment designs. Our efforts will involve discussions within the dedicated ESCC Component Technology Boards (CTBs) to bridge this gap, focusing on technologies such as Microwave, Silicon, Optoelectronics, and Passive components.
-
Comprehensive Survey of Manufacturers: A key activity will be to conduct a comprehensive survey of EEE component manufacturers across European countries beyond France, Germany, and the UK. The goal is to identify manufacturers with components relevant to various application domains that are suitable for space applications. This will ultimately augment the European qualified list for potential future space projects.
This partnership is an exciting opportunity for ALTER to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of space technology in Europe. We will keep you updated on our progress and any developments that arise from this collaboration.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our mission!
