Following a recent organisational review, ALTER UK is implementing a new leadership structure aimed at strengthening operational alignment and collaboration across sites.
As part of this transition, Ian Oxtoby will step down from his role as Managing Director. Stephen Robertson has been appointed to the newly created position of Site Director and will assume overall leadership of the UK site, reporting directly to Frederic (Fred) Tilhac, Managing Director of Alter France and Alter USA.
In his new role, Stephen will oversee all operational aspects of the UK site, working closely with Cara Campbell, who will continue to lead HR and Finance and report to Vicente Gorrino. Matt Booker will maintain responsibility for all commercial matters related to ALTER UK.
Fred Tilhac brings extensive experience in the Semiconductor Assembly and Test industry, including previous roles at Motorola. He has played a key role in establishing the Alter USA facility and has collaborated closely with the UK team on multiple projects. He is expected to visit the UK in the coming weeks to connect with the team and gain further insight into site operations.
These changes are designed to drive operational excellence, enhance efficiency, and promote stronger collaboration across sites. By increasing the sharing of best practices and aligning commercial and strategic efforts, ALTER aims to adopt a more unified approach to its markets and customers.
The company would like to thank Ian Oxtoby for his valuable contributions over the years, particularly in advancing facility improvements, leading the UK’s digital transformation, and supporting capacity expansion.
Employees are encouraged to reach out to Stephen, Cara, or Matt with any further questions or concerns.
