Advancing AI‑enabled systems to optimise validation, forecasting and high‑tech operations.

As part of the InnovAndalucía initiative, ALTER, in collaboration with an Andalusian research centre and SME, is taking bold steps to transform high-tech industries with two strategic proposals: NEXIA and INVOCA.
NEXIA (Next-generation EXpert system for unified AI-based inspection and validation) aims to revolutionize inspection and validation of critical electronic components by reducing reliance on time-consuming manual checks, while INVOCA (Intelligent Network for Value-driven Opportunity & Competitiveness Analysis) tackles the growing complexity of global supply chains, helping anticipate disruptions and spot new business opportunities. Both proposals harness cutting-edge AI and data analytics, combined with human expertise, to deliver smarter, faster, and more reliable solutions for aerospace, defence, and other highly regulated sectors. These innovations would be integrated into ALTER’s Virtual Lab, enhancing its real-time capabilities, strengthening collaboration with experts, and unlocking even greater value from data and testing activities.
The impact for ALTER promises to be remarkable. NEXIA is anticipated to cut inspection times by 35% and generate over €1.2M in efficiency gains annually, while INVOCA is expected to save €1M a year by improving forecasting and reducing supply chain risks. These initiatives strengthen the company’s AI capabilities, create high-value jobs, and reinforce Andalucía’s reputation as a hub for innovation. They showcase the power of collaboration between the Spanish Design & Innovation Projects Management and Digitalization Departments, proving that cross-functional teamwork drives real transformative change.
