ALTER TECHNOLOGY has been awarded a contract by INTA, through the Astrobiology Center, to develop an encapsulation, screening and qualification solution for the control ASIC, and thermopiles for the MEDA instrument. MEDA is one of the Mars 2020 on-board instruments. It will characterize the diurnal and seasonal cycles, the environmental dust properties, near-surface environmental pressure, Martian air and ground temperatures, relative humidity, winds and radiation.
