ALTER TECHNOLOGY is collaborating with Quantum-Systems to evaluate the conformity of their product range of Unmanned Aircraft System.

Alter Technology is the first Notified Body in Europe accredited to assess conformity to drones according to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945. This Regulation lays down the requirements for the design and manufacture of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) intended to operate under the rules and conditions defined in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and remote identification add-ons. It also defines the type of UAS whose design, production, and maintenance shall be subject to certification.

Flight tests have been carried out on an airfield near Madrid to show compliance with the requirements stated in the Regulation. Drones placed on the market in the European Union are subjected to all applicable product regulations and directives for CE marking (RED, EMC, MD, and others). In addition, as stated before, if the UAS is intended to be operated in the ‘open’ category or the ‘specific’ category under operational declaration, accessories kits bearing a class identification label and remote identification add-ons must also comply with the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945.

Quantum-Systems’ Trinity F90+ is a mapping drone. It has the advantage that more data can be recorded in less time than was previously possible with conventional systems.
