ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

At ALTER TECHNOLOGY, our Parts Laboratory ensures the reliability of electronic components for space and high-reliability applications.

As an Electronics Technician, you will join the Electrical Test Laboratory and be responsible for performing electronic and environmental tests following established procedures, while supporting the improvement of laboratory performance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform electrical parameter measurements on electronic components using custom test benches and high-end instrumentation.
  • Conduct environmental and screening tests, including thermal cycling, thermal shock, burn-in, high/low temperature storage and humidity testing, using climatic chambers and ovens.
  • Monitor test parameters, log data, and identify out-of-tolerance conditions or anomalies during test execution.
  • Prepare test reportsand work summaries with traceability to applicable specifications.

This is what we expect

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with electronic laboratory instrumentation
  • Ability to read schematics, test plans and specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, datasheets, test plans and technical specifications.
  • Solid foundation in analog and digital electronics fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel (data logging, basic formulas, charting).
  • Written and spoken English at B2 level or above (technical documentation, test reports).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with strict traceability and documentation standards.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with space/aerospace quality standards (ESCC, ECSS, MIL-STD-883/750).
  • PCB design/manufacturing knowledge or experience with Altium Designer.
  • Basic scripting/automation skills (Python, LabVIEW) for test data handling.
  • Experience with radiation test campaigns (TID, SEE) or exposure to space-grade component testing.
  • Advanced English proficiency
